Jharkhand Public Service Public Commission has decided to postpone JPSC 2021 due to a surge of Covid-19 cases all over the country. The commission has decided after the second wave of coronavirus came into the headlines.

Earlier the JPSC prelims were about to conduct on 2nd May 2021 but now, it has been postponed considering health measures for the students and other exam officials. This year JPSC unfolds a release of 252 vacancies on which around 5.5 lakhs candidates were supposed to sit.

  1. JPSC Civil Services Prelims Dates: 2nd May 2021(Postponed)

  2. JPSC Combined Civil Services Mains Date: Around 4th week of September (Dates yet not disclosed)

  3. JPSC expected Interview Date: 2nd week of December 2021.


JPSC Eligibility Criteria 2021

For the JPSC exam, Indian citizens who fall between a minim and maximum age set by the Jharkhand PSC can apply for this exam. As per the Jharkhand administrative service, the minimum age limit is 21 whereas the maximum is 35 for the candidates of the general category.

Follow these steps for the online JPSC application process:

  1. First, visit the official website to find the original application form.

  2. Then, click on the home page and press the “online application” button that you will find on the left.

  3. Select the type of form for the examination and register yourself on the official JPSC website.

  4. Fill in all the required details and re-check if something has been missed in the form.

  5. You will be given a registration number that you can use for future reference.

  6. In the next section, you will need to provide an updated passport-sized scanned photo along with your signature.

  7. Now, pay the application fees online.

  8. As soon as you complete the procedure, a registration slip is provided.

JPSC Combined Exam Pattern for 2021

The exam is conducted for the recruitment of Class I and Class II officers in the administrative service for the Jharkhand state. Candidates have to undergo three stages of exams:

1. Preliminary Exam

2. Mains Examination

3. Interview Process

The JPSC preliminary exam consists of all objective-type questions and the candidate is given 2 hours to complete the question paper that consists of 100 questions. For each right answer, candidates are awarded 2 marks and there is no negative marking in the preliminary examination.

JPSC preliminary examination is just a screening test. JPSC prelims consist of two papers:

Paper-I: It is also called a General studies paper-I consists of all the subjects like Indian history, geography, Indian Polity, governance, sustainable development, economic development, science, and technology, etc.

The question may also include the history of Jharkhand state, society, and culture. Also, cover important topics such as environmental security, poverty, climate change, and unemployment, etc.

JPSC Paper-II also includes topics from Jharkhand history, culture, dance, sports, music, Adolans, and other topics. The candidate who clears all these papers moves on to the further step of the mains and interview part.

JPSC Mains

This exam consists of six compulsory papers that are held with a total duration of 3 hours each. Now, in this, there is no optional paper. Paper, I am based on the topics of General Hindi and English. Similarly, Paper-II is based on literature and language, III on subjects of social science, IV on Indian constitution and polity, Paper V on the Indian economy, sustainable development. And Paper VI on general science, technology development, etc.

Each paper consists of a duration of 3 hours, and you will have to write answers in the descriptive methods. The exam will be held offline in pen and paper mode for the candidates. A candidate needs a minimum of 30 marks in Paper I to qualify in General English and Hindi. Next, is the Personality Test, It consists of an Interview that is of 100 marks.

The total marks allotted for the JPSC exam for mains and interview are 1150 marks.

JPSC Results 2021

Candidates can check their results if their selection process is done successfully. One needs to go to the home page of the official JPSC website if there is any link related to that.

If you find so, then enter your correct information regarding Date of Birth and Roll Number.

Note: After the procedure save the scanned copy or copy of your result.
